I am FINALLY back from SUNYAC's Swimming and Diving Championships!!!!
And Happy Late Valentines Day Everyone!!
I got me a Sigma Tuck In from Phi Beta Sigma =D
On Thursday the 10th and Friday the 11th, we held a valentines day sale. Our famous chocolate covered pretzels/lolipops are back!! Everyone loved them! They were so yummy!!!
Also, on Sunday February 13th we held a Dine with a Lambda Lady event! This event consisted of people signing up for a chance to win dinner with us! We reserved My Kitchen, restaurant style, for this event. It was so cute! I loved it!
So on Saturday, February 5th, we finally had our Exhibition show!!!! We held this show because normal, when most multicultural greeks cross, they hold a show called Probate or Coming Out show to present to the world their new members! We unfortunately couldn't have ours last semester so we decided to hold an Exhibition show this semester so that we can come out properly to the world =D
For those that went, what you saw that Saturday is normally how a Coming Out Show for us is like all across the country.
Due to the event, a ton of sisters from our New York Area 1 area came up to support!!!!
We practiced so hard for this show and it's finally over! We like to thank EVERYONE who came out to support!!! We truly do =)
I know we have some videos out there but here's one!!! Here you can see each individual sister being introduced as members of the organization.
In the video you can also see a very unique tradition that Lambda Theta Alpha has. This tradition is called saluting! Saluting is when we perform in a line in unison with sisters to salute, pay respect to and honor our organization, chapter, and sisters!!!! It's one of the many traditions that I absolutely love to do.
Always Salute with your Heart =D
On Sunday, Phi Kappa Psi and Sigma Gamma Phi held a Diabetes walk so some of us attended the walk. It was so fun! I absolutely LOVE doing walks! Speaking of walks, Relay for Life is coming soon! I am SOOO excited! I can't wait! Last year when I did Relay for Life, I blogged like every hour about absolutely everything from updates on the walk to the random things random people were doing.... even though they had no idea I was watching them, but I loved doing it so I am hoping to do it this year again! We'll see!!
So for my next blog, i'm going to give a little introduction on each sister so that you can get to know us better =D as well as explain more things about us such as traditions and what we do, little by little so look forward to that!!!!

Snow Day!!
So in the 4 years that I have resided in Oneonta, we have never had a snow day until yesterday!
Of course it is exciting to randomly have a day off, cuddling in bed all day and drinking hot chocolate, but I spent my day getting work done as well as getting ready for our Exhibition Show...... which is coming up THIS Saturday!!!!!
Taking place in Chase Gym at 7pm!
A TON of my sisters from various chapters throughout the New York Area are coming out and support so it is definitely an event not to miss. It's also a very important event for us especially since we just got here on campus! This show will give people a better idea of who we are. I'm very excited yet very nervous!!!!
Also! I attended bid day on Friday, January 28th. It was AMAZING and I loved what I saw. Each person that had received a bid was so excited and so were the brothers and sisters who gave the bid. I have to say I was so touched. I remember the excitement I felt as an interest for my organization and the feeling that I had when my sisters and I finally made our dream a reality. I definitely got emotional at one point through out bid day :)
So as a huge thank you to all the Greeks that supported us throughout the years of struggle trying to establish our chapter here, we made small thank you frames for everyone! We handed them out at Bid Day!!!! A HUGE THANK YOU!!!
Alright so it's almost show time!! Hope to see you there!!!!

Let's get it rolling!
Hey everyone!
So much has been going on!
We are actually getting ready for a VERY exciting event that will be taking place soon!!! It's still in the works, but PLEASE keep an eye out for it! I will most DEFINITELY be updating you as soon as our details are set and stone! I am BEYOND excited! As you can tell =D
So it's the beginning of the semester and we decided to hold a Back to School Bake Sale!! It's our first bake sale as an organization on campus! The bake sale took place on Wednesday, January 26th and Thursday, January 27th in the Hunt Union International Lounge. We baked cookies, cookie cupcakes (uniquely created by us haha!) and brownies! The sell went absolutely amazing! I am truly amazed at those who donated money towards our sale! There's so many great people out there. Sometimes you just have to step aside and open your heart to others. I am a strong believer of Random Act of Kindness.
Part of our proceeds is going toward our Relay for Life Team! Relay for Life will be taking place on Friday March 11th to Saturday March 12th. It's a 12 hour relay where teams/participants walk for 12 hours straight. Cancer never sleeps hence why its participants walk for 12 hours over the course of a night. It's an absolutely AMAZING event where people from various places come and participate and/or support. I participated last year and I cannot wait to participate again this year!!
SO far, our team were able to raise $410! We are trying to reach a goal of $1000..... of course we are striving for the top and will hopefully be surpassing our goal! I have so many plans for our Relay for Life Team so keep an eye out for that as well. =D
Also, tomorrow is BID DAY taking place in Hunt Union - Ballroom beginning at 4pm!
We will be there supporting our fellow Oneonta Greeks! We also have a small surprise for everyone ^.^ I will tell you after tomorrow ^.^ I'm so excited!
Well until then Oneonta!! Stay warm! Keep being Amazing!!!!
